The National Sea Rescue Institute has an important role to play in teaching water and boating safety to schools, youth groups, yacht clubs and other service organisations. Groups of children are given tours of base where they are made familiar with the objectives of the Institute as well as being shown the equipment used during rescue operations. |

In this area our Rescue Station has shone, as we have been able to reach nearly 3000 children between the ages of six and 14 at our new rescue station building. We trust that lessons taught here will ensure a drop in the mortality rate of children and young adults as a result of drowning. |
